Here is the title screen of a program I wrote in 1990 for Asgard Software called The Animator. The running cats and letters were animated with the program.

It started out as a clone of the Etch-a-sketch animator, but it can also develop animated sprites for use in your own extended basic programs. It will create an XB merge file so you don't have to type in the commands yourself.

Here is a simple animation my son made when he was 10 or 11.
